Camden County Women's Shelter

The Camden County Women's Center (CCWC) is under the umbrella of NJAC, a private 501 (c) 3 organization. CCWC is dedicated to assisting survivors of domestic violence build violence-free lives, and to reduce domestic violence through community education initiatives.

Services are provided to residents of Camden County without regard to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, gender, color, creed, or disability.
All services are free and confidential. Call or recommend our hotline to someone in need and begin the healing process.

Office of Victim Witness Advocacy

The State Office of Victim-Witness Advocacy supports and expands victim-witness services across the State along with the law enforcement community. The goal of this program is to provide victims and witnesses with services that will help them cope with the aftermath of victimization and help make their participation in the system less difficult and burdensome. The state office works closely with the county offices and provides funding for many of their programs from federal and state funds.

Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)

Services offered includes a team comprised of a law enforcement officer, rape care advocate and a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) who responds to sexual assaults occurring in Camden County. They provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care, emotional support, information, assistance evidence and collection and investigation of the sexual assault.

SERV Sexual Violence Services

SERV (Services Empowering Rights of Victims) is the New Jersey State Designated Sexual Violence Program for Camden, Gloucester, and Cumberland counties. Services include 24/7 crisis intervention, advocacy and counseling for female and male victims of sexual violence age 12 and older.

Advocates are available to accompany victims to hospitals, law enforcement agencies and court. Short-term, crisis counseling is available for victims/survivors of sexual violence and their significant others. Adult and teen support groups are available for survivors. SERV promotes prevention across the community providing outreach and education on sexual violence.

SERV protects the rights of survivors to ensure they are treated with compassion and dignity. All services are provided free of charge, strictly confidential, culturally sensitive and bilingual.

Services include:

- 24/7 toll free hotline for crisis-intervention, phone counseling and information and referrals;
- accompaniments to hospitals, law enforcement agencies and court;
- individual and group counseling for victims/survivors and their significant others, friends and family members;
- sexual violence prevention for schools and community groups;
- awareness presentations to promote prevention of sexual violence across the community;
- sensitivity and awareness training for service providers on sexual violence.
